Also known as Mow Cop Castle, the folly stands high above Mow Cop on the Cheshire–Staffordshire border.
Built in the eighteenth century as a deliberately romantic ruin, its broken stone walls and tower have become one of the area's most recognisable landmarks.
Seen here beneath heavy, brooding skies, the folly takes on a different character. Rather than simply recording the landmark, the photograph explores its relationship with the exposed landscape surrounding it — solitary stone, windswept grass and changing weather.
Bring the striking character of Mow Cop Castle into your space with this original photograph, available as a professionally produced black and white fine art print. Its monochrome tones create a timeless piece of Mow Cop wall art for your home, office or workspace.Print Details
Each print is presented on Fine Smooth Pearl Paper, giving the photograph a refined finish suited to fine art landscape photography.
